VALERIY VITALIYOVYCH MARCHENKO
Valerii Marchenko is the Rector of the National Academy of Managerial Staff of Culture and Arts (NAKKKiM), Professor, Doctor of Philosophy, Candidate of Art Studies, Honoured Art Worker of Ukraine, Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (France), and Honorary Senator of the Vienna Beethoven Conservatory (VBK).
His academic path combines a rare triad: compositional creativity, scholarly research and institutional management. His work in the sociology and governance of higher music education has gained international recognition — most notably through his concept of the "Institutional Paradox of Music Education" and the Marchenko Institutional Model.
As Rector, he has consistently developed the Academy as an internationally engaged institution, establishing partnerships with organisations in Austria, Sweden, China, Indonesia, Armenia and beyond. The Academy actively participates in the ERASMUS+ programme and implements joint educational and cultural projects at the international level.
Valerii Marchenko believes that a university of culture and arts is not merely a place to obtain a degree — it is a space where individuals are shaped who can transform the cultural landscape of their country.
